WORKING TOGETHER
A CLOSER LOOK
Victor with his son WilliamTwo years ago, Victor's life and his family were changed forever. After being hit by two cars while on his bike, Victor was left paralyzed from the waist down and is no longer able to work and support his family.
Victor's children have been a part of our feeding program since its inception in March 2011. Envia is providing food for Victor’s wife and three children once a week. They’re experiencing the love and care through Envia’s feeding program.
Victor and his wife, Carla, have three wonderful kids: William, Genesis and Alonso. Victor and his family are also receiving help for adequate housing and other immediate needs.
Before the accident, Victor had a job that allowed him to provide adequately for his family. Victor still plays a part in providing for his family the best he can. He sells coconuts to try to support his family, but despite his best efforts they continuously fall behind on monthly expenses. Two months ago, Victor and his family were evicted from their home. They were embraced by their family and together are trying to make the best of the situation....a situation they did not choose. Victor and his family are in the process of building a very small home on his mother's tiny property. Until recently, the house had dirt floors making it difficult for him to move around in the wheelchair.
